Even the division of the calendar year into months and weeks is a reason to celebrate... if for no other reason than being able to tick off another one that we survived.  Time is fleeting, so let's have some fun!  The fourth month of the Gregorian calendar and named for the Roman Goddess Aphrodite (Latin name, Aprillis).  Aprillis also means "to open", describing the month when trees and flowers began to grow.  April is sacred to several deities including Artemis, Terra, Astarte, Venus, Ying-Hua and Aphrodite.
